   Plate 68

Plate 68 formed in 1994, from the remnants of the critically acclaimed acoustic trio, from Portland Maine known as Scarecrow Assembly. Centered on the words and music of Craig Patterson, with assistance from his Lumpy Tater cohorts Jeffrey Deason and Rob Morse, as well as an everchanging cast of other talented musicians; Plate 68 explores the wide array of musical options available to the eclectic and adventurous listener, in an unveiled attempt at avoiding the mundane.

Yeah, Ellis Ruley's house burned down. Course Ellis, he'd been dead for years by then. Ya see they found his body one morning, bloody and frozen on a Norwich street. Now the coroner, he called it an accident but ****, any fool could see that them white folks around Norwich, they didn't like it when a black man owned a house and some land; and married one of their own. So they took his life, and half his life's work (that went up in smoke in that fire), and they called it an accident.
